Amona Mining Consortium Sdn Bhd (AMC)

AMC is a special purpose company and a member of Amona Group to venture into coal business. AMC commenced operation in October 2009 and since then has actively involved in identifying coal business opportunities in Indonesia.

AMC in consortium with PT Trisakti participated in TNBF PreQ 2/09 in 28th January 2010. AMC-Trisakti Consortium was short listed as one of the TNBF Qualified Coal Supplier in June 2010.  

Furtherance to the qualification as one of the TNBF Qualified Coal Supplier, the Board of AMC has decided to become a coal producer. On 28th October 2010, AMC acquired 50% equity interest in PT Dewi Putri Asean (“DPA”), a coal mining company registered in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

DPA has signed an agreement with the coal concession company, PT Berkala International (PTBI) granting exclusive right to DPA to operate the concession area throughout the life of the concession. PTBI concession in Ampah, East Barito District in central Kalimantan covers an area of 2,686 hectare.
