The Amona Group of Companies can trace its modest beginning to 3 March 1992 with the incorporation of Amona Sdn Bhd.  With his sharp business acumen and foresight, founder Dato’ Haji Othman Ahmad has nurtured and transform a fledging family concern with its initial core expertise in property development to diversify into other business activities, namely construction, trading, information and communications technology, telecommunications and energy.

Through its subsidiaries and associated companies, Amona successfully completed a number of commercial and residential developments in various parts of the country through strategic partnerships with State Government agencies in the form of joint venture or by way of privatization.

With its success in Malaysia, Amona Group revamped its corporate structure, recruited more entrepreneurs and prefessionals to form an efficient and delivery-centric team, and also strengthened its business alliances to venture into selected overseas markets.  Now helmed by Amona Permodalan Holdings Sdn Bhd, an investment holding company, the Amona Group made its international debut when it secured a major township development contract with the Government of Libya, followed up by 2 township development contracts with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Amona Group diligently pursued and was awarded a prestigious contract for the renovation and reconstruction of the Resalat Offshore Facilities and Resalat Oil Field Development by Iranian Offshore Oil Company in 2008.  A financing package of Euro 850 million was obtained from China Construction Bank to implement this project.

On the homefront, the Amona Group continues to focus on what it does best - PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT.  To complement this business activity, it also provides total facilities management and multi-discipline project management services.

As part of our business expansion program and in synch with current global trend for sustainable future, the Group is venturing into green technology.
